点评：The best experience, not to be missed in Laos. Worth every penny and you know it is going to a good cause. Our guide Rabbit was a top guy. We were well looked after and enjoyed his company and was very informative. His English was very good and even more impressive given he is self taught. We were picked up from our hotel in a comfortable van by a driver and our guide. The drive to the sanctuary was smooth and flew by and is not far from the train station. We did a half day morning tour. You arrive at the restaurant which is on the banks of the river for a quick briefing. You are giving shoes with attached gaters to wear. Would recommend taking some socks to put on. You the take a quick boat ride to the other side. The trek with the elephants was super fun, slow paced and not strenuous. Absolutely beautiful to watch them browse in the jungle, play and at the end they take a swim in the river which they loved. You then boat back to the restaurant where you are served a delicious meal. They also have a selection of cold drinks and beer to buy. There is a gift shop with some cool locally made knick knacks. The whole experience is laid back and very natural. The conservation is very ethical and you really can tell that the rescue elephants are happy and living their best new lives. A once in a lifetime not to be missed.
