点评：The Mount John Summit circuit track was one of the highlights of my visit to Lake Tekapo. The hike offers absolutely stunning views of the lake, surrounding mountains, and the beautiful turquoise water that makes this area so special. The track was well worth the effort, and I found myself stopping often just to take the scenery and snap photos. The only downside during my visit was that a large section of the track on the lake side was very muddy from recent rain. Conditions made it difficult to continue and I ended up turning back halfway through,that was disappointing, but of course the weather cannot be controlled. Even though I wasn’t able to complete the entire circuit, the views I experienced were spectacular and made the hike completely worthwhile. I would highly recommend this walk to anyone visiting Lake Tekapo just be sure to wear appropriate footwear if there has been recent rain.
