Lovely experience, staff amazing!
Durham Mining Museum的点评
点评：We visited Durham Mining Museum today 12/07/2026. We arrived approx 13.20pm, it was due to close at 14.00 so it was very quiet, in fact we were the only ones there.
My son started asking questions, Tony one of the staff members was happy to show us around and he interacted with my son the whole way around. He gave my son information about everything, nothing was too much trouble, he even wrote notes for my son in his little note book and was happy for my son to video some of it. My son is obsessed with making videos and I understand that a lot of people don’t like to be videoed but Yony was happy to do what ever made my sons experience a good one. Another staff member called T was Ali’s lovely with my son and gave him a keyring as a little present to remember his visit. It got to 10 mins before closing but Tony still wanted to let my son see downstairs where it has been made out like a mine, it was used for a tv set years ago but kept there for school children to experience what a mine may have looked like. My son was really happy and even got to try a hard hat with a light on. We had a lovely visit, and although it’s only small there is so much to learn, especially when the staff are so knowledgeable and welcoming. Loved it! Thank you Tony & T, you made my sons visit very special :)
