Antonio — the best part of our week in Sicily

点评：Antonio was our bus driver for a seven-day retreat based near Etna, October 10–17, 2026, with daily runs to Etna, Taormina, Ortigia, Ragusa and back. I've spent 24 years traveling for work and I don't hand out this kind of praise easily: he was the most professional driver I've had anywhere.
Three things set him apart. He was on time every single day, usually early, with the bus cooled or warmed and ready before anyone walked out. He was attentive to the details nobody notices until they're missing — where to stop for the best view, which door to open, who needed a hand with a bag, when the group needed ten more minutes. And he drove Sicilian mountain and coastal roads, in a full-size bus, with a calm that let everyone on board forget about the road entirely.
More than that, he was gracious. Patient with a large group, warm with every one of us, and never once anything less than a gentleman, even when the day ran long or the schedule changed on him.
If you're organizing a group trip in eastern Sicily and you can get Antonio, get Antonio. I would book him again without a second thought and I HIGHLY recommend him.
