点评:This is the place to go shopping in Tokyo if you don't like the crazy massive crowds of Shibuya. We went here first and then over to Shibuya and it was like night and day.
This area has a lot of second hand clothing resellers, although nearly all of it was in really great shape. From the station in nearly every direction are small clothing shops. These are not department stores AT ALL. Some are no larger than a small room. We thought that added to the charm of the shopping experience.
I think it would be hard to find a specific thing here, I think the trick is to be open to the search. I'm not a "shopper" by nature but at least this was a different type of visit.
Be sure to grab a curry when you are here. I hear that the area is well known for their curries and the place we found did not disappoint us! Many of the restaurants are as tiny as the shops, with only 4-6 seats inside so be ready to queue outside a while.
Also, many restaurants in Tokyo have you order before being seated. You pay at a little vending machine which gives you a ticket. You then queue for a seat. Upon being seated, you present your ticket and they make the order. It's fairly efficient when you have limited seating.
