点评：Our time in Bahir Dar, Ethiopia was exceptional thanks to thoughtful assistance from our guide Teme.
We highly recommend a boat trip on Lake Tana with visit to local island monasteries, Betre Mariam and Mehal Zeghe Giorgis. These 14th century monasteries are surrounded by lush vegetation and wildlife on the Zege Peninsula along the southwestern shore of Lake Tana. Lake Tana also offers an abundance of bird wildlife.
In the city, Teme was a wonderful guide with knowledge of local history as well as present day growth in Bahir dar. He took us on a memorable afternoon walk along the impressive Abay suspension River Bridge that crosses the Blue Nile (Ethiopia's longest bridge ) This was a great way to stroll with local families and youth and learn more about Bahir dar (bonus, you may see Hippos).
