Fabulous plays at wonderful, natural outdoor theatre
Westacre Theatre的点评
点评：A friend and I went to Westacre to see Oscar Wilde's Lady Windemere's Fan. It was the opening night of a 3-month run for the group. They were amazing! I didn't realize until the end that at least 3 of the 5 actors played multiple roles. The cast was letter perfect, full of character, humourous beyond belief. It was nearly a full house, as I counted only 5 empty seats.
I was at Westacre for the first time last year and they have since replaced their canopy cover with a more durable one. I could see the difference right away. Their plays are always very well done. Last year I saw A Midsummer Night's Dream and they made amazing use of the outdoor environment. I will happily go back to this reasonably priced theatre, less than £20. They have a lovely cafe bar for a quick drink at intermission. The seats are not the most comfortable, so I take a blanket or a pillow to sit upon and/or put behind my back. Can get breezy so even in summer you might need a jacket or blanket.
