Amazing architecture; wonderful tour

点评：Beautiful grounds; the detail throughout the castle is amazing. Some of the original wood is beyond what you can imagine aquiring these days, shipped in from all over the world. The fine details!! From hand carved wood, to rounded pocket doors to align with the room shape, to each side of a door having opposite wood types to match the rooms they are seen in. Just outstanding architectural design inside and out!
Jackie did an excellent job leading the tour of about 15 people, telling stories, offering information and answering questions. The tour last lasted over an hour and a half, starting with a 10-minute video on the history of the property and how the Joslyns came to settle in Omaha. We had some time to walk around and explore the rooms on each floor while the docent waited. No rushing through this tour. The $20 tour can be paid directly at the castle entrance.
