点评:After the July 4th ceremony at the nearby State House, some members of the Sons of the American Revolution, including me, visited the NH historical Society and interacted with the public. The building is very nice and the grounds are well-manicured. Steps to the entrance prohibit handicap access, but there is an elevator inside. There were plenty of staff members on hand to manage the crowd and answer questions. After entering, the first thing you see is an old stage coach. There is a narrated historical presentation with slides on the half hour, and it was interesting. Upstairs and down there are many paintings. On display are assorted artifacts linking NH and the American Revolution, and each one includes a description. Restrooms on both floors. It's interesting, but a bit underwhelming. I might return when it's less crowded. If there's a parking lot, I didn't see it. I was parked on the street. Friendly and knowledgeable staff ready to talk. No fee today.
