点评：Meals at the lodge were excellent. All employees were friendly, knowledgeable, and happy to help us. We were pleasantly surprised that each Arkansas State Park has an interpreter (a person who interprets flowers and fauna). Ivory is Queen Wilhelmina's interpreter. You might check to see which days she works, before planning your trip. She led us on a great hike on the Lovers' Lane Trail, answered numerous questions, and gave us valuable tips.
You can stay in a lodge room. We chose to stay in a cabin -- the only cabin in the park: the Heathercliff House. It is a huge CCC cabin that has been completely renovated inside, providing a full kitchen and all the comforts of home: kitchen, living room with fireplace, bedroom with king size bed, loft with two beds, bathroom with a shower. If you want to stay in the cabin (not a lodge room), I suggest that you plan your visit when the cabin is available. Call the Park with potential dates and see when the cabin is available.
The only problem that we had was fog -- actually low clouds. We planned to hike the morning that we left, but the fog was so thick that we hardly could see 15 feet in front of ourselves. We were there in late April. Maybe fog isn't a problem later in the year; I don't know.
