Thoughtfully Designed and Always Worth the Visit
国家动物园的点评
点评：We absolutely love visiting the Smithsonian National Zoo, and this trip reminded us why it’s one of our favorites.
We visited during a stretch of nearly 100-degree weather, and the zoo’s layout made a huge difference. We really appreciated how the exhibits naturally alternate between outdoor and indoor spaces, giving visitors frequent opportunities to cool off in air-conditioned buildings before heading back outside. It made the heat much more manageable and allowed us to enjoy the zoo longer than we otherwise could have.
Another feature we really appreciate is the design of the zoo itself. Being able to enter from one end, make your way through all of the exhibits, and exit from the opposite end without having to backtrack is such a thoughtful layout. It makes for a much more enjoyable visit, especially with children or on hot days when every extra step matters.
The animal exhibits are beautiful, the grounds are well maintained, and there is something interesting around every corner. Seeing the giant pandas was, of course, a highlight, but there are so many other wonderful exhibits that make this zoo worth visiting.
Best of all, admission is free, making it one of the best values in Washington, D.C. We always enjoy our visits here and will absolutely be back the next time we’re in the area.
