点评:Staff were friendly and informative and it was a pleasure to visit for the first time which makes me want to go back. Myself and my partner were there looking to hire a room for some of her classes (baby massage/yoga) at the visitor centre/cafe which is in a beautiful location in the grounds. After talking to staff we had a walk around the grounds, visited the Red Deer enclosure where we saw the herd. You can feed the deer with carrots or buy deer feed from the centre which is recommended and we had a big stag come up to the fence with a big set of antlers on his head. We then walked down from the centre to a pond where there was numerous ducks and geese (mallards, moor hens and egyptian geese)
Also flying in the sky I observed a red kite being annoyed by crows. After a brief stroll we headed to the walled garden, we came across a gentleman call Tonny who worked in the garden area and he enlightened us with some history of the area and I have to say he had done his homework. Very interesting guy and some of the history astonished me. They also have a park area for small children and plenty of parking also good disability access to the areas. I will definitely be visiting again in warmer weather and when everything starts to bloom.
