点评:You definitely need more time than you imagine when you visit the air museum it is fantastic if you love aircraft and history of warfare you will thoroughly enjoy this museum. There is a lot to read on the presentation boards but you actually are able to walk around the aircraft of a by Gun age and there are some aircraft that you can actually get inside to get a feel of what it’s actually like. The flight simulator wasn’t working when we attended but I believe it is fantastic so if there is an opportunity I would definitely recommend doing the flight simulator. There’s a set way of viewing all the museum halls with the ultimate F117 aircraft which is in the final hanger on its own, which is spectacular. There are aircraft outside so we did venture out even though it was 108°F took a few snaps and photo opportunities then came back inside into the hangers where it was much cooler. There is a lot to see and particularly if you’re bringing small children you won’t enjoy it as much as you would if your children how much shoulder may be in their teens. There is a café there which is reasonably priced and has hot food as well as cold drinks and we stopped therefore 20 minutes to recharge and then off we went into the other aircraft holes to have a good look around. We learnt a bit about the Korean and the Vietnam war why these war happened in the museum highlights the impact of these wars with the number of servicemen that lost their lives.
There are a few memorials outside the museum which you will see on your entry and departure. Overall I wish I had allocated more time to enjoy the museum. I would recommend half a day from opening time so you are not running around viewing stuff and missing bits. There are people posted around the museum who can give you some background information on the aircraft and maybe some of the history we had some great conversations with some of the older assistance that was really interesting.. we missed all the film presentations due to the timing but I would definitely recommend noting the film times so that you could squeeze these in to your walk arounds.
