点评：It’s a small zoo and is looking a bit dated. It is very pricey at around £20 per person though. There are lots of enclosures but about half are avian. A few empty enclosures as they’re clearly doing some work.
The café was pretty pricey, very friendly service but very slow; this was a term time Saturday in May so it must be very busy in summer. There are picnic areas outside though including a covered area so that may be a more reliable choice for families. The range of food did well for gluten free but not many savory options for vegetarians.
We spent about three hours there, probably 3-4 hours is a reasonable time if taking in one or more of the exhibit explanations (best to check on times before you go to plan your day).
The animals mostly seemed to have enough space, a bit of tlc wouldn’t go amiss on the presentation of enclosures and pathways etc. but it must be a huge job to keep on top of and the animal welfare would quite rightly be the priority.
