HORRIBLE EXPERIANCE! DO NOT BOOK THROUGH PAKAGES.UNITED.COM! DO NOT BOOK THROUGH PRICELINE OR XPEDIA!

点评：I am writing this concerning purchasing a flight and hotel through packages.united.com.
The experience is HORRIBLE.
I had scheduled a trip for my wife for a 10 day stay to visit our daughter. A family emergency happened and I had to cancel the trip, over a month before it was scheduled! United Airlines cancelled the flight no problem. However trying to cancel the hotel was a nightmare. MANY HOURS on the phone on hold. The hotel property had confirmed that they would cancel with no penalties.
Pakages.united goes through a booking agency, notably Priceline.
Priceline in turn goes through Expedia.
They kept saying that the property denied my cancellation and that there would not be any reimbursement. They are FKN LIARS!
I have an email from the management confirming that they have cancelled the booking with no fees. Here I am on hold again, waiting to speak to someone. This is HORRIBLE customer service.

Book directly with the hotel and the airline, that seems to be the safest way to have control of your trip.
