Excellent View into Submarine History!!

点评：This is a delightful small museum full of submarine history culminating in an actual tour through the albacore submarine. The Albacore was an experimental submarine which was the world’s fastest submarine at two different times. Facility is handicap accessible, free on sight parking, and has a small gift shop.
The docents are quite helpful. The submarine is NOT handicapped accessible but the museum is. Submarine is amazing inside. Now you must go through several small hatches to travel through the submarine. Tall people might have difficulty if you’re not bendy.
Inside submarine (self guided tour only) are various stations with audio players. These players are very informative and interesting. You can sit in command chairs, lay in bunks, and walk in tight places. It was fantastic!! I would highly recommend this to Navy buffs, history buffs, educational experiences, and just a good time doing something unique.
