点评:We visited here on a sunny day which belies the history of the camp.
The free to enter museum has 4 main exhibition areas and it is dedicated to tell the story of the use of 15 camps in the area. Important to know is that these camps were opened years before some of the more famous death camps.
One area shows the role of police, another life in camp and how it came to be built, another the stories if the internees.
A visiting exhibition show stories of the captives done in art form and telling their stories. It was clever and thought provoking.
The outside area has hut shaped trees identifying where hut were and rusty metal with the height of the old wall. There is a court yard featuring the rolled up rotting barbed wire.
The building has a significant archive which is available to students and researcher. Amble parking and toilets on site. There is canteen but this was not open on our visit but we were the only visitors at that time.
