点评:The memorial itself was great! But everything else was HORRIBLE the worst staff ever!!!
There is only 1 free thing in this whole place. The standby took about 2 hours for us to get on but it went by quick because I was running around the whole time trying to get help with no luck.
First of all no bags allowed and expensive to store so keep them in the car!!
The security officer seemed nice but he ended up being SO rude and nasty.
I burned myself on my moped and it was bad on my wrist, I have been to TONS of national parks and monuments all over the country & any type of situation like that they are quick to help me. I nicely asked the guy at the national parks desk (The one and only nice person on this trip) and he told me they only had bandaids but security would have burn cream in their kit. I was shocked because most NP have supplies & this was basically a military base on top of it. Not to mention like every first aid kit at the store even has burn cream…..
I waited in line and nicely asked the security guy and he was so rude! Basically rolled his eyes and said no do you want a band aid? In the most rude way ever he seemed so bothered. A bandaid on a burn?! That would be so painful. I went back in without it. I was crying it hurt so bad.
Went to see if I could get ice from the store with drinks and also couldn’t the older guy working there was also rude. Every single person I talked to was so nasty to me besides the one guy at the beginning.
I got no ice and no cream, no assistance at all! It is so insane to me that they were so rude and did not care at all!
When we went to go to the memorial the staff was also super rude and almost threatening with how to act. The Navy guys on the boat seemed miserable. We got there and they were screaming about pictures ruining the vibe.
The memorial itself was amazing. Such a beautiful place to reflect on the lives lost. Great information and peaceful otherwise. We also saw a lot of fish and a sea turtle and the oil spilling out.
The staff was just as nasty coming back and in the gift shop. Not one was ever friendly or nice. All abrupt, nasty and rude. If this is how bad it was I cannot imagine paying to do more. Not to mention there is not one level of organisation in this entire place.
I have never had a negative experience at a NP or NM but this took the cake. Super disappointing especially for what this place stands for, embarrassing.
If you want stamps they are at the main NP Visitor Center Desk.
