Not the easiest place to get to, good view of the harbour and village, not much ruins
Kassiopi Castle的点评
点评：Tuesday 22nd September and we visited the fishing village of Kassiopi on the northeastern coast of Corfu.
One of the features of the village are the ruins of it's old castle which overlooks the harbour.
We did make our way up to the ruins, the pathway starts directly across the road from the old Byzantine Church, in the village.
It all started off well with the first section of the path being paved, it soon deteriorated. At one point it became a track with exposed pipework, not sure what but not good to walk on. Overall it was steep and times not easy underfoot, definitely no wheelchair access and not suitable for people with lower limb problems.
There was no entry fee here and the most impressive part was the restored entrance gateway and archway.
We were able to go out on to one of the ramparts here we got good views over the village and harbour below.
Certain areas were boarded up and access was not permitted, we assumed it was unsafe. In another section that had been boarded up, the wood had rotted and we could see in. We were able to see some wooden beams that would have supported a floor and rafters to support the roof, it was all just overgrown here.
There were certain areas which were in good order at the top and front of the building, where the flag was flying, public access was not permitted.
The centre part of the Castle there are a large number of olive trees with other trees alongside.
On the way up we did see a sign that informed us that the ruins were enhanced and improved back in 2022 at a cost of €555,000. It was possible to see where works had been undertaken, sadly it was not maintained. All of the lighting around the pavement, in the Castle were broken.
The best bit was definitely the view, the climb up was a bit iffy and not much of the castle to see

有些区域用木板封上了，禁止进入，我们推测是因为存在安全隐患。在另一个被木板封住的区域，木板已经腐烂，我们得以向内窥视。我们看到了一些原本用来支撑楼层的木梁以及支撑屋顶的椽子，只不过那里现在杂草丛生。
在建筑物的顶部和正面，有一些区域状况良好，那里飘扬着旗帜，但不允许公众进入。
城堡的中央区域种植着大量橄榄树，周围还有其他树木。在上山途中，我们确实看到了一个标志牌，上面写着这些遗迹在2022年进行了修缮与改良，耗资55.5万欧元。我们能看出哪些地方曾经进行过施工，可惜后来没有得到维护。城堡内及人行道上的所有照明设施都坏了。
最棒的部分绝对是景色，不过攀登过程有些艰难，而且城堡本身也没什么可看的。
