1 person can spoil an almost perfect experience!
圣安东尼奥海洋世界的点评
点评：We did the Animal Tour Adventure Experience at SeaWorld yesterday, and overall it was an absolutely AMAZING experience! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Our guide, Stephanie, was knowledgeable, professional, fun, and did such a wonderful job throughout the entire tour. The twin brothers who were animal trainers were AMAZING, and we absolutely loved the dolphin trainer AND the sea lion trainer as well!
Honestly, every single trainer and staff member we encountered throughout the experience was wonderful. They were knowledgeable, engaging, professional, and clearly passionate about the animals they work with. They made the experience incredibly special and memorable for our family.
Unfortunately, there was one very significant exception.
During our beluga encounter, there was a blonde woman who appeared to be a supervisor or person in charge of that area, and I honestly cannot believe the way she behaved.
She repeatedly yelled at and interrupted the male trainer who was conducting our encounter, including while he was actively speaking to our group and trying to provide the experience we had paid for. Her behavior wasn’t just a little rude or unpleasant — it was shockingly unprofessional and extremely uncomfortable to witness.
The gentleman conducting our beluga encounter was trying to do his job and interact with our group, and watching someone who appeared to be his superior speak to and treat him that way in front of guests was completely unacceptable.
If an employee needs to be corrected, coached, or spoken to about something, there is an appropriate time, place, and professional way to do that. Yelling at an employee, repeatedly interrupting him in front of guests, and undermining him while he is actively conducting an encounter is not it.
What made her behavior stand out even more was the enormous contrast between her and literally everyone else we encountered. Stephanie was fantastic. The twin trainers were fantastic. The dolphin trainer was fantastic. The sea lion trainer was fantastic. The gentleman conducting our beluga encounter was doing his best to give us a great experience. Every trainer we encountered was amazing. She was the only person whose behavior was negative, and unfortunately it was so inappropriate that it was impossible not to notice.
I sincerely hope SeaWorld management looks into what happened and speaks with this individual about professionalism and how employees should be treated, especially in front of guests. No employee should be spoken to or treated that way publicly, and guests shouldn’t be put in the uncomfortable position of witnessing it.
I don’t want this one person’s behavior to overshadow what was otherwise an incredible experience. The Animal Tour Adventure was amazing, and the guide and trainers deserve so much recognition for the experience they gave us. ❤️🐬🦭🐋
We would absolutely recommend the tour. I simply hope SeaWorld takes this particular incident seriously, because the rest of their team represented SeaWorld beautifully — and unfortunately, this one individual’s behavior did not.
