Celebrating China's National Day at the Grand Bao’en Temple

点评：Honestly I didn't expect the Great Bao'en Temple to be such a stunning experience! My girlfriend and I stopped by here during China’s National Day holiday. Before coming to China, I barely knew anything about Chinese Buddhism or traditional culture, so I really didn’t know what to expect.
Anyway, we wandered through the whole complex and found so many fantastic photo opportunities. The brand-new special exhibition is absolutely breathtaking. It’s not just some pretty sightseeing spot; every artifact and immersive display tells incredible stories. We saw the glowing Buddha projection and that delicate porcelain pagoda model, both so impressive.
What really blew my mind was its connection to European culture! I first read about the porcelain tower in Hans Christian Andersen’s fairy tales, and I had no idea this legendary tower once stood right here in Nanjing centuries ago. All in all, walking through these exhibits totally shifted my old ideas, leaving me with a much deeper understanding of this history.
If you're traveling to Nanjing, the Great Bao'en Temple is definitely a must to visit. I highly recommend it to anyone visiting the city.
