点评:This takes an hour or hour and a half and is well worth the time. There is a 15 minute introductory film, then a guided tour though the house. You get to see the couch where Dr Mudd first examined John Wilkes Booth after he'd shot President Lincoln, and the upstairs room where he treated him and set his broken leg. Mudd's main source of income was tobacco farming. He owned some slaves and was not a nice master. For instance, he shot one of his slaves for some reason, but then went into doctor mode and treated his wounds. He claimed he hadn't know who Booth was when he set his leg, he was just doing his duty as a doctor, but he had met him several times prior. Was he actually part of the conspiracy? He was convicted, and served time in prison, but was later pardoned after his wife's letter-writing efforts to get him released. He also acted as the prison doctor and treated many of his fellow inmates, so that helped his cause to get released. Interestingly, they had a photo of the boot that John Wilkes Booth was wearing when he arrived at the house. The actual booth is on display at Ford's Theatre in Washington DC. The tour guide said they could not afford the insurance that would be required if they had the boot in the house.
Due to so few volunteers, the museum is open very limited hours, currently Wednesdays and Saturdays from 11-4. Small gift shop. $15 admission fee.

由于志愿者人数太少,博物馆的开放时间非常有限,目前只在周三和周六上午 11 点至下午 4 点开放。内设小型礼品店。门票 15 美元。
