点评：We visited Ferne Animal Sanctuary today, and I wanted to share an honest but fair review. First of all, it’s really important to remember that Ferne is a rescue sanctuary, rather than a traditional animal attraction, and we absolutely want to support places like this.
The animals we did see had wonderful enclosures, with lots of space, enrichment and interesting things to keep them occupied. The staff were really friendly and welcoming.
There are some beautiful walks around the site, along with a cafe, gift shop and a small play area for children. It’s a lovely place to enjoy a picnic and spend a few peaceful hours surrounded by nature.
That said, if you’re visiting specifically because you want to see lots of different animals, I’d probably manage expectations a little. There were a lot of chickens! 🐔😂 But overall, there wasn’t a huge number of animals to see compared to some other paid animal attractions.
I wouldn’t necessarily describe it as somewhere I’d go purely for a big day of animal spotting. Instead, I’d say it’s a lovely, peaceful few hours out, particularly if you enjoy walking, picnics, nature and supporting a really worthwhile cause.
