A beautiful little corner of Crete
Karavostási Beach的点评
点评：Another great beach in Kalo Chorio — Karavostasi Beach, which we’ve visited on several occasions.
It’s a more relaxed beach with crystal-clear water, shallow at first but gradually getting deeper as you go further out.
There’s a mix of sand and fine pebbles as you enter the sea, before it becomes mostly sandy. Adding to the scenery is the beautiful rocky coastline, which gives the beach a really nice natural character.
We especially liked the peaceful atmosphere and the natural shade from the tamarisk trees. The sea was calm and inviting, making it perfect for a swim, and there are some lovely spots along the edges of the beach for exploring and snorkelling.
What we liked most was how much more relaxed and less crowded it felt compared with some of the better-known beaches in the area. It’s the kind of place where you can easily spend a few hours swimming, relaxing and enjoying the scenery.
With such beautiful natural surroundings, it was really nice to see someone taking the time to collect a huge amount of plastic that had washed ashore. There are also garbage/recycle bins conveniently placed near the shower, which was running during our visit, making it easy for people to dispose of their rubbish properly. It was great to see the area being looked after and appreciated.
The only downside is that there’s nowhere to buy refreshments or food, so it’s best to come prepared.
Definitely worth a visit if you’re staying around Agios Nikolaos or Kalo Chorio. A beautiful little corner of Crete that we’ll happily return to.

唯一的不足就是这里没有可以购买饮料或食物的地方，所以最好事先做好准备再前来。如果你住在阿吉奥斯·尼科拉奥斯或卡洛·霍里奥附近，这里绝对值得一游。这是克里特岛上一个美丽的小角落，我们很乐意再次造访。
