Yesterday(13/09/2026), our group of 10 visited Ridiyagama Safari Park and used the park’s public bus service for the safari. Unfortunately, the experience was extremely disappointing and did not feel worth the money we paid.
During the safari, we were shown only a few animals, mainly lions, tigers, elephants, deer, and donkeys. We were aware that the park has many other animals, including different species of birds, crocodiles, and other wildlife, but we were not given the opportunity to see them.
If visitors are being charged for a safari tour, we expect a proper and reasonably complete safari experience—not simply a short ride showing a limited number of animals. The service provided to us was far below our expectations.
Charging visitors for a safari while providing such a limited experience is not acceptable. The management should seriously review how the public bus safari service is operated and ensure that visitors receive the experience they are paying for.
Overall, we are very disappointed with the service and would expect significant improvements in the future. Not a satisfactory safari experience at all.
