点评：The house is quite disappointing, the decor is not great and there is very little of interest. The assistants in the room were pleasant enough but it would be better to have actors that make the experience immersive, but all the trust and house type experiences are the same, they lack imagination to bring history alive. The gardens if you can call them that were very disappointing, there was a cricket pitch in front of the house and a large expanse of grass, but no formal garden at the front or fountain, I would expect much better and something akin to Chatsworth House. It was £2.50 to go in the maze, which we thought was too expensive for what it was. There was a coffee shop, a garden centre, and a gift shop, they were well stocked with the usual fare. The place is nice enough for a trip out for a coffee or somewhere to take your nan, but the house and gardens/lawn area need a lot of work, and someone that can bring history alive. The chap who sat in the medal room tried his best and told us a good story, but why not have people dressed up as characters, such as a servant in the boot room to talk about the war, or as a general in the medal room etc. As it is this, it is probably more likely to appeal to the older generation who are not used to interactive or immersive experiences and just want a day out.
