点评:Extremely humiliated and disappointed that in 2026 employess are so discriminating. I visited Huntingtower Castle on 3 September 2026. I am a 36-year-old person with a lifelong disability and receive enhanced-rate Adult Disability Payment. I was accompanied by a friend who assists me because of my disability. During my visit, a member of staff questioned my use of the concession and told me that I looked too young to need it and, in substance, that I could not be disabled because I looked young. I was also told that my companion had to be a nominated carer and carry a badge. I found this extremely humiliating and distressing. I have formally complained to Historic Environment Scotland and am awaiting an explanation. Disabled people should not be judged by their appearance or made to feel that they have to prove their disability regardless of age when I already provided my ID and disability card and offered my blue badge but still somehow I didn't look disabled enough? Kindly tell me your door policy how disabled should one look to be disabled?? I have recored this incident and in detail and social media and the local media will hear about this expect to go viral
