Great way to learn about Mayan cultire
Pueblo del Maiz的点评
点评：El Pueblo del Maiz (The Corn Village) is a re-creation of a traditional Mayan village. I spent nearly three hours there and participated in a lot of different activities. It was a lot of fun. A pretty woman came at me with a paintbrush and painted my face. Then we toured the village. In a few places, there was a workshop. We tasted chocolate and painted a picture of traditional Mayan things.
A highlight was their dance program. They demonstrated a traditional Mayan Fire Dance. After the performance, you can take a photo with the performers.
Our last activity was a music workshop. The performers spoke in Spanish. I had fun answering them in Spanish before the guide could translate for the rest of the group. Unfortunately, the guide's English was not too good. He mistranslated a few words and did not know the English word for others. (I had to help him.) All in all, I enjoyed this excursion very much.
